Entrepreneurship education features prominently in Welsh Youth Entrepreneurship Strategy (YES) Action Plan

As part of the celebration of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Welsh government has recently published a brief newsletter on the delivery results of the first year of the Youth Entrepreneurship Strategy (YES). According to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor 2010, in the UK, 3.3% per cent of young adults aged 18-24 years are engaged in early-stage entrepreneurial activity. Wales recorded a rate of 6.7%. In addition, Wales follows a targeted approach on entrepreneurial eductation. The Department for Education and Skills has established a working group to develop the online guidance for entrepreneurship within the curriculum. The guidance will be launched April 2012.
